Engagement photo sneak peek!!

So I thought before I totally crash out from being completely tired I would post a few engagement pictures that Nick and I took on friday evening. Seriously in LOVE with this photographer and since Nick pretty much spoils me we got her!  Now the pictures you see are the only ones we have seen too. So believe me when I say these make me want to see more too! Enjoy!

Lanterns, Guitars, and some Fire

Ok, let's start this story. I like telling it and believe me I have told it plenty of times and I think everyone else likes it too.

Well, let's preface it with this. Nick and I had been talking about getting engaged for a while and we were thinking the end of March to get engaged. Well, A few weeks ago he told me it probably wouldn't be until the end of April....That's a good deal longer to wait. Well, I had to accept that because what was I going to do to change it? About a week before he proposed he asked if I would want to go on a double date with him and Garrett (His best friend) and I of course said sure.  I love our weekly date nights so let's add in one more date night. I asked him what we would be doing and he said that if the weather was nice that we would probably do a fire at the sand dunes. So, I said sure, but I didn't really care what the plan was for that day. I would be good with whatever. 

Well, The full week before he proposed I was working on this HUGE project for one of my classes and teaching my final lesson in the preschool so I guess you could say I wasn't in the best mood that week, but he was patient and helped me where he could. Then friday came and it was our date night so we went to the best of show on campus and then went to the Host which I was SUPER excited to see. I really liked it btw! Then Saturday came along and I was working on my big project all day (seriously all day from 8 in the morning to 8 at night). So, let's just say I wasn't very awake. I was brain dead from all the homework and i dyed my hands green from making play dough.... haha but don't worry it came off with some good scrubbing. 

Well, Nick called me and said he was on his way to come get me. Him and Garrett had just gone out to make sure their spot was saved. He came and got me, but I didn't say too much just because my brain was gone. It was good being there in the car with him though because I was finally able just to unwind from the day. Well, he said he needed to call Garrett to ask where to park just because there was a lot of people there. Little did I know that while he was on the phone with Garrett he lost connection with him so he just pretended to talk to him. We pulled up to the dunes and there were a lot of cars....but there was one other fire with two people around it...so that was a little confusing. 

We grabbed all the stuff from the trunk and started heading over to the spot where the fire was. Nick said that Garrett and his date were stargazing on the other side of the dune. So we set up the stuff around the fire and sat down to wait for them to come back over. While we were waiting Nick asked me if I wanted him to play a song. I said sure, but didn't think anything of it just because I ask him to play guitar for me quite a bit so it wasn't out of the ordinary.  Then he asked if I wanted him to play a new one. Of course I said yes, but he never does he just tricks me.  This was the real deal though! He started playing and I didn't know the song at first, but then he started singing it and it was Marry Me by Train. My heart took off. It was beating so fast because I knew what this was.  I was shaking so so bad. Well, he finished and then got down on one knee. He was pulling something out of his pocket and asked me if I knew what it was. I said no and he showed me. It was a zip tie....now before I continue on in this story that zip tie does mean something. It is our joke that we have together.  he once told me that he didn't know if he would have the money for a while to get the ring and he said he might have to resort to prostitution (jokingly of course!) and I said no no you can just get me a zip tie.  We joked about it from then on out. So he asked if I would marry him with the zip tie first and once I said yes he was like ok here is the real thing! Haha it was good. I was shaking so so bad. 

Then we went to the top of the dune where a lot of people were waiting for us. They were going to set off these lanterns like the ones in Tangled, but they couldn't get the lighters to work so they weren't going off, but we got to light them and send them off afterwards which was actually a lot of fun! I was in shock at the whole thing!! I had no clue at all! But everyone else did! 

Well, I am working on uploading the video of him singing, but until then I am going to post this picture. And if I can't post the video of him singing I would be more than willing to share it with people in person! 

And now the moment you've all been waiting for!!

Yup, it finally came and it came tonight! March 30th 2013 around nine fifteen. I'M ENGAGED!!!! Yup to THE best guy ever for eternity! I don't have much time tonight, but I will hop on here soon and post the story and some pictures. Stay tuned!!

Days fly by!

So, I failed at the February challenge and there are too many days left over to go back and do them all, but I am proud that I got through at least half! That is definitely a plus! I guess life gets pretty busy. I am teaching preschool and trying to get lesson plans(all 10 pages of them) in on time along with research papers, child reports, resource files, presentations, and much much more! I am surprised I am still alive and sane at that. In my free time which is rare I find a few fun things to do! Such as these:

Nick And I decided that we needed a break from Rexburg. Well, where can you go that isn't too far from Rexburg, but also doesn't break the bank? Idaho Falls...Yup that's the best we've got. Well, as long as you are with the right person you can have a blast! We went around the mall and found these stylin beauties! We also went to Buffalo Wild Wings (Yum!!) and then last, but not least we went and saw the new oz movie.  It was a good break from homework and we had a lot of fun! 

We also went to a dance for one of our date nights. Hannah (Nick's Sister) was playing in the band and it was a dinner and dance.  It was a lot of fun! and the food was really good... always a plus! 

Then when we came to Boise to visit my family we took some senior pictures for Skye, but we also took some fun ones to keep us entertained! 

Anyways, even in the business of life find times where you can go enjoy time with those you love.  It is going to be those times you look back on and are glad you had.  School has about 3 and half weeks left and then it is back home to Boise for the summer! I am excited to spend more time with my family and see what life has in store! So remember Come What May and Love It! Everyone have a great week! 

Getting Tired Yet?!

Well here we are onto a few more days of February! Seems like it is going by pretty fast. Well, we are onto

Day 10:

This is Natalie's stuffed goat, but her pet none the less. She loves him and he is always there for her. Just how a pet should be! 

Day 11: 

This is the quote that I picked. I like it a lot. Sometimes I need to be a better listener to it though. I can't do everything and not everything will go the way that I want it to, but in the end it will go the way it is supposed to go.

Day 12:

Well, this isn't a picture of an actual smile, but I hope that it will make you smile!  This is a picture that my brothers set me after I left Boise one time and they were doing facials so they could look their best when they saw me next. haha what weirdos! 

Day 13: 

So sadly I do not have a picture of a stranger, but I see strangers doing good deeds around here all the time. Whether it is holding open a girls door or helping someone pick up stuff after they have dropped it. Look around to see all the good things strangers are doing around you!

Going on with the Challenge

So, yup as guessed and assumed by me and probably many I fail at doing a daily blog update, but life just gets busy ya know. So, I just decided to update here and there with a few days of the challenge. So, today will be two days of the challenge.

Day 8:

Ok, Nick is the someone that I love. Shocker right?! Haha well it's hard to really pinpoint what love is and what it feels like, I think about that all the time, but really what it comes down to for me is all who they are, all that they are not, all that they want to be, and that they are trying their best to be the best person for you. It goes both ways you need to be the best person for them too. Together this relationship should help you build and grow together. Some reasons, not all, that I love Nick is he teaches me new things. For example he was teaching me to play guitar and he was super patient and helpful in doing it. I also have so much fun with him. We always have a blast no matter what we are doing. Finally, for the last picture the quote says it all. He knows me better than so many people. Amazing. Ok sappiness over. :)

I saw this and laughed so hard and thought it completely applied to BYU-I. That is seriously the big topic here that all the girls talk about! I want to get married, I'm not married yet, when will I find the right person. Yup you hear this and so much more! Well, everyone enjoy your day! 

February's Challenge

All over Instagram and Facebook there has been these monthly challenges well monthly photo challenges and I never did them because if we are being honest I didn't see the point, but then I thought that I am running out of things to write about on my blog so I decided that I'm going to give it a try. They have something for everyday and I will try my best to keep up with it, but I can't guarantee that I will be doing one everyday. This first post will be a little longer than most because I am catching up for the days that I've missed.  So here is the picture for February's Challenge.

Ok so we are now onto Day 1: 

So this is my lock screen for my phone right now.  It has been this picture for a little over a month now which is like setting a new record for me because I am constantly changing the thing! It keeps me happy! 

Day 2: 

Haha now I don't know how he would feel about me putting this picture on my blog, but this is my best friend and this is how I know him. He is a goof ball, but he is my everything! He knows everything about me and loves me for all that I am. He makes me laugh and knows just how to make my day. 

Day 3:

This is my mom and she is most definitely my role model and I know she is for more people than just me. She is the strongest person that I know and she is always there for me. I hope to be as strong as her someday and keep thinking of others even when things start to get tough. Those two together make me realize that even though life is rough we always have someone to lean on and someone will always be there to love us. They are an excellent example of a relationship to me. 

Day 4: 

Well, next is OOTD which I'm thinking means outfit of the day... Seems like a good guess! Well, as it turns out I changed from what I was wearing earlier because I am headed to the gym with miss Natalie in a few minutes, but I am just wearing jeans a t shirt and some tennis-shoes. 

Day 5: 

Ok well it asked for a self portrait...haha not much to say about this one except for here is me! 

Day 6: 

Ok, so as of right now I do not have a favorite song, but I have most definitely been in a country mood! 

Day 7: 

Haha, hands down this will always be the best food to me... no argument! 

Ok, I'm all caught up to date on this challenge thing and we will just see how well I keep up with it.

This weeks photo is from my very first semester of college. It is so crazy to think that I will soon be done with two years of college! Time sure flies by and it is crazy to think of how much I've done, accomplished, and all the people I've met and the good friends that I've made! 

Life isn't measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
